Tide Clock

Made from beautiful streaky, shimmery Dreamcatcher glass with an aventurine swirl and featuring a single hand tide movement all you need do is set this clock to the tide of your favourite beach and you’ll be able to tell the perfect time to swim at a glance with this Tide Clock.
This particular clock features hand painted wording using specialist glass enamel fused in the kiln together with handmade glass dots fused to the back plate. It is then slumped over a stainless steel mould to enable it to free stand.
For those of you unfamiliar with tide clocks they work by using a 12 hour 25 minute cycle as the tides gradually shift day to day. Mine show high tide at the top and show hours to low tide at the bottom and back through hours to high tide.
Generally around the UK coast tides vary in accuracy between plus or minus 30 minutes over a 30-day period. Therefore it is necessary to reset them using local tide tables every month or so.
